Glow’s signature kick-off event, the Christmas lighting ceremony, was filmed LIVE through Facebook for the first-time featuring Olympians Gary and Paul O’Donovan, Ireland’s silver-medal winning rowers, as they turned on the city’s Christmas lights. Event coverage included real-time filming of the ceremony, interviews with the O’Donovan brothers and the Lord Mayor of Cork, real-time tweets which trended nationally throughout the evening.
